parastra intergalactic taxi service is an immersive art and dance situationist orginization. it began as a long midnight walk by dylan george during a summer solstice festival with an illuminated parasol. it was such a sucessful prop - the indirect light, the ufo styling, and the shadow dancing that it enabled (yay for projectionists) - the walk i started there has not ended yet.

parastra is currently based out of edmonton alberta, with tentacles that reach across canada and the bi-coastal regions of the usa.

parastra is attempting to learn the ultimate festival experince, and to that end has provided food services (organic, raw delights at Nexus north of vancouver), recycling education (green team, shambhala 2005), deco and art (koots roots, zion the harvest, zion soulstice, motion notion), artcraft vending (shambhala, edmonton folk fest, winnipeg folk fest, om festival, north country fair, edmonton jazz festival, toronto downtown jazz festival, etc), and straight up participation (burning man, calgary folk fest, etc)
